ing in every other article is that you can start with 3% or 4% and a year later adjusted for inflation it becomes 6% anyway

0.04 x 1.04 inflation (4%) increase = 0.056

So if the difference between you having enough money in retirement is using the 3% vs 4% vs 6% rule it just means you need to work one year longer. So do it or cut back on your needs
