and won A LOT of very close 50/50 games (our Kenpom "luck" metric was off the charts).
Between the luck, the easy schedule, and the first-round NBA draft pick he inherited from his predecessor, last year wasn't as impressive – from a coaching standpoint – as many fans here perceived.
This year, we're gonna find out if Gates can win with his own players.
