Mizzou had made 4 straight NCAA Tournaments
Was coming off a 30 win season
Had Bowers, Dixon and Pressey on various award watches
Entered the year as a top 25 team

The Dixon situation was one of the biggest what if in the last 25-40 years for Mizzou. Had Dixon played that team wins 26-28 games. Gets a protected seed in the tournament, finishes the year ranked. It would have only been the second time in Mizzou history of winning at least 25 games in back to back seasons. And Haith gets that extension he was wanting.

There’s no way of knowing how that would have changed the next 4-5 years for Mizzou. Mizzou went 50-80 over the next 4 seasons missing all 4 seasons.
