the sheer awesome power of that DC establishment and the force it can wield over the great unwashed to make that unwashed compliant, docile and subservient to the needs of the Club is intoxicating.
Getting that control of that power is worth just about anything, even implicitly implying the dead got their deserved fate, because the Club over there let Club things get a little out of whack.
