To account for Vanover.

Last year Mizzou tried an aggressive switch everything defense. Vanover showed at Arkansas that he will struggle doing that. But if Gates can keep him in a form of drop coverage I think he can be productive.

Burns and Marshall in the 2024 class are probably similar in that you don’t really want them to switch onto perimeter players.
