Change of scenery, coming back home, and different coaching style. One mistake isn't going to get a guy yanked under this coaching staff, and it lowers stress levels. At least that is my belief.
Grill is a 5th year Senior who has never averaged double figures in scoring. He took about 100 fewer 3 pointers last year than D'moi Hodge, so maybe the let em' fly style DG has might propel him.
If Pierce has grown to 6'10, that may put his game at a different level. Even if his forte is outside shooting, his ability to score around the rim cannot help but improve from that growth spurt. The growth spurt Trevon Brazile had put him on draft boards quickly! Pierce was apparently hogging the glass when they were in Jamaica. He could use a few more pounds but it would be great if outplays his recruiting ranking.
