Florida certainly hasn’t played like one of the bottom teams in the conference, which they were projected to be. Was really impressed by how tough they played #4 FSU on the road in a narrow 1-0 loss.
With just a 10 game SEC schedule, every game is critical, and now we have a good opportunity to get off to a 2-0 start, with the next match against Auburn on the road, who is a bottom half of the conference type team.
Clearly the class of the SEC this year are the 4 ranked teams:
7 Alabama
9 SC
11 Arkansas
23 Georgia
And while our schedule is tough, having to play all of those teams, we get a break by getting all of them in Columbia this year. Georgia just went on the road at Alabama Thursday night and played them to a 1-1 tie.
Winning at least 1 or even 2 of those 4 games should put us in contention for an at large NCAA bid, which would be great.
