You do not get to determine the meaning of words and then argue from that basis. You learned well from Pizzle but you failed to realize that you were learning from an idiot.

Right - a moral or legal entitlement to have or obtain something or to act in a certain way.

If they had raises written to their contract then they have a RIGHT to those raises. They definitely have a RIGHT to negotiate new contracts which they appear to be doing now.

So my original statement stands the union is there to protect the rights of their workers.
