to finish off the non conference schedule. Plays Eastern Illinois twice, on Thursday and Friday. Both matches will be televised on ESPN+.
Eastern Illinois was picked to finish 4th in the OVC this year, and has started 9-0 against a truly awful schedule. Will be disappointing if we don’t pick up two more wins this week and take a 9-2 record into SEC play next week when we open up with a really tough road match with #15 Tennessee followed by a much easier home match with SC.
EIU has played 6 of their 9 matches against teams with projected RPI ratings in the 258-331 range. Their toughest matches according to that metric have been against SIU (153), Valpo (166), and Arkansas St (177).
