When I team that goes 1-11 in a previous season

makes a splash hire, does the maneuvering they did in the portal, and then goes on the road and wins, you could probably consider that to be a newsworthy story.

Sportscasters, sports media, personalities, et al, their whole purpose is to present these things as part of the entertainment and hype of the sport. Ultimately its about $$$ and what better way to gin up interest than to have a potential turnaround story of the ages. Of course we don't know what will happen with them as the season goes on.

What we do know is CU has a brutal schedule ahead of them this year, so I fully expect them to lose a number of games. Ironically enough they could be a .500 team this year and people will be like "see, I told ya so, they are nothing but hype", as they will of course forget about just how terrible this team has been the past well, 3 decades really.

We shall see how it plays out. Personally I think it would be awesome if they just went ahead and won the Pac 12 this year, not likely at all to happen, but then you'd really see people's heads explode.
