compete for a CFP slot? Now if they expand to 12 teams, it's possible, but it'll be the same suspects who rise to the semifinals, making the whole thing a watered-down joke.

With the TCU debacle against Georgia and TX and OU leaving, no one in the new b12 will have a real quality win, unless it's out of conference. So you pretty much have to go undefeated to even have a chance. A 1-loss team in the SEC or Big 10, or Clemson or possibly FSU will get the nod over any of the new b12 teams.
