Drink & Kirby are handling the QB competition perfectly

I hear people stating that since Jake "The Snake" Garcia is running with the 3rd string, it's obviously a 2 man race for starting QB between Brady and Horn".
Ah contraire mon fraire.
I totally disagree - and here's why.
1st of all, Brady is coming back as the incumbent. He just got voted by his teammates as captain. How does that play in the locker room if he's demoted to 2nd or 3rd string at this juncture? Chaos in the locker room and shouts of "How could they do this to a True Son who is a credit to his state and university and is the incumbent?" Don't need that dynamic at this stage of the game.
So....let's say the coaches switch Horn and Garcia at this juncture - and have Garcia elevated to #2 and Sam put down to #3.
Once again...."Sam has to transfer! Sam is out of the running!" All of the armchair experts run wild with that - and it all dispirits Sam.
Instead, you let Fall camp run it's course for the next 2 weeks - with the incumbent as #1....and 4 star Horn (in his 2nd year at Mizzou)....as #2...with the new transfer Garcia running with the 3's.
And here come the first two games, where Drink has said he's going to play multiple QB's.....and has said we may not have a starting QB until K-State.
You allow the QB's to go out and earn it on the field.
If Horn outplays both Cook and Garcia in those 2 games, no more shouts of "How could you do this to the True Son incumbent" Sam did it the old-fashioned way - he earned it on the field.
Or when (I guess I should say "if" but I've got confidence in him) Jake Garcia lights it up in his stints in the first 2 games. Once again, he did it the old-fashioned way - he earned it!
And if Brady outplays them both in the 1st two games, no bellyaching allowed - he earned it.
So when the above plays out.....and Jake Garcia is under center for the K-State game......I'd appreciate you guys referring to me in the future as "Swami" and if you want to throw in an occasional "Your Royal Highness" or even say..."We are not worthy".....I'm OK with that too.
Where else are you going to get this on target analysis of the QB situation?
