The B1G’s advantage was/is the CIC (Committee for Institutional Cooperation). It pushed B1G schools to work together to seek joint grants and in the past has enjoyed a lot of success.

An AAU school and 3.40 plus tip will buy you a cup of coffee at the Olive & Ivy these days.
