one really knows right now. He'd definitely be a nice get.
To the other point, yes I do have a friend, at one time connected to the program in more than one way. He has zero recruiting knowledge because he doesn't have anyone close still at Mizzou. Yes, he has had a couple of his friends leave (not fired) because they couldn't stand Drinkwitz and their PERSONAL opinion was that he's in over his head outside of some ability to convince players to play here, which is clearly a good thing. They also said that even his own staff doesn't really respect him and my buddy has had other coaches from other programs tell him that Drinkwitz is a phony and kind of a joke. Why was he asking other coaches, besides he's a Mizzou fan? He was considering an offer in the program, but ultimately went elsewhere. Didn't want to work in that environment. Ultimately, he is very hopeful Drink works out, as we all are, as fans of the program.
Now I've recently said I'm done bashing on Drink and will see how the season plays out before weighing in, either positively or negatively. I've also learned my lesson predicting wins or losses. I'll go with exactly .500 until proven otherwise. The defense is close to elite and the offensive line will be much better. WR's will be good. No idea what we have at TE, which isn't necessarily crucial. RB's seem to be OK, with some young depth.
Drink will live or die on the QB sword, as it should be. Most important position in any sport at any level.
