thought Prometon was the herbicide that showed up more often than other pesticides, including Atrazine. Prometon, like Atrazine is of the Triazine family and also an endocrine disruptor. However, it isn't an agricultural herbicide. It was nonselective and used on sites where total vegetative control was desired. IOW, it was used on industrial and commercial sites, including concrete parking lots. It was theorized at the time of the water studies that Prometon applied to parking lots was the major source of fresh water contamination. The greenies will have to find another reason to get rid of Atrazine.
