If all these allegations are true, what happened here is beyond stupid. If I am a young man and going off to play college football, I’m not signing up to run around naked (against my will), to be forced to rub up against other naked teammates, to be taunted while doing so, to take naked snaps from center in the name of team unity. At any other job, this would be cause for dismissal, regardless of “woke” ideology or not.
Imagine your son or daughter goes to work at an insurance company, but during orientation is forced to do any of these stunts. Would that be ok?
But in the hyper-masculine world of football, this is supposed to be acceptable? We are not talking about making freshmen carry equipment or have bad haircuts or even taping them to goal posts. And if the coach knew of this and ordered the “code reds,” he should be toast for severe lack of judgment.
