I completely understand what's going on here.

You were too scared to go to STL for a football game because a prosecutor's office was a disaster. You think her leaving will completely fix the safety problem so you're now comfortable with going. Ferg made a joke insinuating that it's always been unsafe even before Kim and you took it as a serious question, misread the question, and continue to argue a joke.
