I don't know if NIL is right or wrong. Professional football, basketball and baseball all have a draft. The player's salary is assigned based on the spot they are chosen. Even professional athletes can't go into free agency for 3 - 5 years. Why a high school kid or amateur college player can be a total free agent seems odd to me when even a professional athlete doesn't have that opportunity. Kobe is a good player but not worth $1.5 to Mizzou. Let him go be a whore if that's what he wants.
