Pierce (and maybe Butler) are more developed, or skilled, offensively than Shaw was coming out of HS. Shaw's rating was based on athleticism and potential. Pierce and Butler may not e considered to have as high of a ceiling by some, but they're better shooters. The frosh that is most ready to contribute is Robinson, but he is the one we need to contribute the least.
