store this afternoon.
The woman looked to be in her late 20s and was appreciably bigger than me. I asked her if she had Pepsi products or just Coca-Cola. She said just Coke right now. I said that's too bad I don't drink Coke anymore.
She asked why, and I said politics. I said they are too woke, and I am sick of it. She politely asked if I would mind telling her what I was talking about. I asked her if she had heard of critical race theory, and Coca-Cola's now infamous presentation to its employees. She was familiar with CRT, but not the Coca-Cola presentation.
I told her that in the presentation Coke defined white people as devious, violent, dishonest and oppressors. And that Coca-Cola told its employees the best way to be better employees, or better humans I forget which, was to be less white.
The conversation remain very polite and respectful, but she searched her phone for, "be less white" as we were talking. She found it quickly, and was incredulous when she read the be less white part. She said that is amazing or ridiculous or something equivalent to that.
She said people have to talk to each other more. If they do, they will find out how much they have in common and not just see the differences. I agreed saying that the answer to hateful speech is more speech not less.
I said that without actually interacting with each other people who are, for example black, female, and lesbian believe they are required to think act and vote a certain way. And that white Christian males feel the same that they are required to act in a certain way.
She impressed me as being a very thoughtful and very bright young woman. And she was amazed at the Coca-Cola story. At the end, she offered her hand and said, thank you sir, God bless you.
This is where the chimpanzees on the board, without knowing anything that transpired will call me a liar, and say that I made all this up. That's fine I don't care.
But for those that are interested, I found this interesting.
