the claim is he lied about it on paperwork (misdemeanor). The statute of limitations are already up with that, so it would need to be elevated to a felony. In order to do that, Bragg is suggesting Trump lied on the paperwork to cover up an illegal campaign donation. However, Cohen has already said that wasn't what the payments were for.
