If what you are saying is true, it's simply not possible to EVER hire a coach.

I mean, things could unravel.

If coaches are more worried about being fired vs. improving an SEC offense to the point where their careers move forward substantially then they simply shouldn't be in coaching.

Every position, no matter how high or powerful the program or the level of recent success is at risk.

This an O-Line level coaching position - saying it can't be filled with anyone decent is preposterous.

Look at Purdue, they just filled an o-line position in the exact timing you just describe.
