Big 12 didn't have a *head-to-head* challenge against each other. The SEC was #3 and top-heavy. MU got torched by Alabama, was lucky to get Kentucky early, and a depleted Arkansas team in the rematch.
And *again*, SEC football is as competitive as it gets in college sports, and it's also harder to pull off upsets in FB than BB. There's a reason the NCAA Tournament has so many upsets and "Cinderella" teams.
One player can make you competitive in BB, and that's what Kobe Brown has done this year for Gates.
We'll see if there's a drop-off after Kobe is gone.
