It used to be a pretty fun event in the Spring when it was in mid-April and the weather was nice. And it's nice to see players we've only heard about actually on the field.
Pinkel messed up a bunch of Spring Games with his stupid scoring system that made no sense to anyone. Then he wised up near the end and make it a better event for fans. Last year was probably the best Spring game we've had in a very long time.
It seems Drink doesn't like the Spring Game and he thinks it gets in the way of what and when he wants to practice. If that's the case, fine. Then don't schedule it. I think that would be (and is) a huge mistake, but he's the coach. And I'm not sure I understand why he's the only coach that schedules the Spring practices like he does, but whatever I guess.
All I know he is better start winning or we're going to send him out of here on his backside. With the rise of basketball, the microscope is going to be on football now.
