My Dad was asked to host and gather a group of reliably democrat farmers for a photo op and meet & greet for Pres. Carter near KCI during one of visits to K.C. Dad was happy to do it and eager to meet a POTUS, while he was in office. However, he didn't come home with any positive stories about the event. The farmers were mostly from Platte, Buchanan, Andrew and DeKalb Counties and they weren't all that impressed either.
