thoughts on it (and this is not comprehensive):

I am admittedly an optimist, so read this post with that in mind.

First, politics always follow culture. That's why politics are so bad today; it's because the culture has gotten so bad. I believe that, by the end of this decade, we will have seen a shift away from identitarianism, interventionism, and hyperpoliticization. I think a supermajority of people are already sick of the wokeness, and are starting to piece together the wokeness puzzle (govt, current US education, college, DEI, corporate advertising, Hollywood, ESG, SDG, etc.). Ultimately, wokeness cannot sustain itself because it is unnatural to humans; it's premised on postmodernism thought that rebukes the idea that there is actual truth. But, there is actual truth, and humans are naturally in tune to that. So, that's why they are starting to think: "Hey, this stuff doesn't really make any sense and it's making everything worse".

Second, I think the positive changes will happen marginally, incrementally, and regionally, and not in any isolated and fantastical way. Do not hold your breath thinking that the US federal govt can be salvaged and reversed. It cannot. It will grow until it collapses under its own weight. However, decentralization, secessionary, or nullification movements will occur in various regions. My recommendation is to get to a region where people generally reject wokeness and communism and still like freedom.

Third, a large contingency of the decentralized apparatuses today are libertarian. Think blockchain. I know that there is a lot of crap crypto and NFTs and all that, but the possibility of a decentralized currency provides the greatest hope of freedom from large, warring governments than ever before (even 200+ years ago in the newly founded U.S. berthed from the Enlightenment). There is a lot to be done to get to that point, but there are actual geniuses, libertarian in nature, that are working on getting it there. A decentralized currency, uncontrolled by government, would be an absolute game changer.

Fourth, here's a list of things of some things that help me sleep at night:

1. Wokeness is contra to human nature.
2. The decentralization of information dissemination makes it harder and harder to control information.
3. Leftists/future communists are having less children than other people.
4. College enrollments are static or declining.
5. Hollywood woke movies/shows are bombing.
6. A.I. is being shown to be a helpful tool or entertainment piece, rather than a conscious entity.
7. People are moving to states with marginally more freedom, and less taxation.
8. States are starting to sue the federal govt more and more.
9. There are A LOT of guns in the hands of ordinary Americans; it is impossible to change that.
10. Independent journalism is gaining more and more traction.

I could go on but those are just some thoughts for now.
