The only thing that’s “pretty stunning” is the conspicuous failure (or refusal) to recognize that such comparisons are hopelessly confounded. Let’s see the falsification endpoints which are not disclosed in the manuscript. Let me guess - vaccines reduce non-Covid mortality too?

Stunning how eagerly someone who keeps shoveling taxpayer money into Bourla's pocket without asking for RCTs can find observational study that validates said shoveling.

Hazard ratio for death was 0.14 (95% CI, 0.02-1.03), so not statistically significant.
The HR for hospitalization was 0.19 (0.08-0.42), so also a huge degree of uncertainty.
And still a retrospective cohort study with lots of potential confounders.
