Jesus wasn't born poor, nor grow up poor.
The hotels and B&Bs were full. They had money to pay for a room.
The wise men gave Him gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
He was raised by Mary and Joseph, both of noble lineage.
He was raised a carpenter. He knew how to work for a living.
He walked away from His trade to engage in ministry. Then He lived off of what was offered to Him.
Christmas, the day chosen to celebrate the incarnation of Christ into the world.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:1-5,14
The Word, Who was with God, and was God, took on flesh, and lived among the children of Israel; and His name was Jesus, the Christ.
