Gasparilla Bowl Facts Mizzou vs Wake Forest

Last years Gasparilla bowl drew their highest attendance because Florida played UFC. Two florida teams played in Florida. Now two teams who don’t play in Florida will play in this bowl. Over the past few years this bowl has drawn as few as 14,000 fans to the game. Mizzou vs Wake Forest probably won’t draw 20,000 fans. So basically the stadium will be empty. Excluding last years all florida game the average attendance of this bowl over TWELVE YEARS is right at 20,000 a game.
I would expect almost no one will watch this game Mizzou fans included.
Wake Forest mostly known for their basketball program. When you look at Wakes history in bowl games their fans do not travel to support this team.
They should simply rename this the no one cares bowl.
I like most will probably forget this bowl is even being played. Not one person in the entire state is going to care. No high school players will watch this bowl game. This bowl which we’ll probably lose will do nothing to move the interest in the program.
Kansas vs Mizzou the game we should have made. HOW SAD! A total disgrace! Another wasted season. What are the results of 2022 season?
1). Drink lost his in state recruiting charm. He lost almost every single in state recruiting battle to other schools
2). Drink lost his touch with East Saint Louis. No one from that high school cares about Mizzou.
3). Bad coaching and bad quarterback play cost us countless wins against: Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, and the most disgraceful loss to Auburn.
4). If we lose this bowl game it will be yet another losing season by Drink. I personally count his first season as a losing season because we backed out of the bowl because we KNEW we’d lose.
Another season is showcasing to recruits and fans our program is just going no where fast. To me Drink needs to break thru next season or its time to move on. Lastly I hope someone comes forward with evidence that we refused to play Kansas … if that is the case we need to boot the AD along with DRINK.
