Only in modern politics are hours of footage of actual crime not proof of actual crime.

If Hunter was a regular citizen, he'd already be in jail.

If Joe Biden was a regular businessman, he'd already be in jail.

But in politics we say 'needs investigation' knowing that nothing will happen and likely, a rubber of stamp of approval will essentially be given because with no indictment, shouldn't the public conclude the wrong-doing simply wasn't as advertised?

These Trey Gowdy style hearings literally end up whitewashing the crime and elevating the target above the law...
