They claimed a turbine problem made them shut it down, allowing them an excuse not to deliver. Convenient. They've uses excuses ike this before. It also had to be done if they knew they were going to blow up the pipeline. if there was flowing gas in there, the ecological damage and damage to Russian facilities could be catastrophic if there was an ignition. The only gas leaking out was the limited amount trapped in the pipe.
