It's a cute saying, but he's going the wrong way with it.

Yes, one game does define the season.

This team is nothing right now and is considered nothing generally by all of college football.

Now is the chance for them to redefine who they are.

The Michael Jordan's of the world take every negative comment to the grave with them, doing everything in their power to make those who've uttered such words EAT THEM.

The rest of humanity tends to block out all negativity and pretend that it doesn't apply to them while muddling along in a state of relative mediocrity.
