Players or recruits today even know what happened at Mizzou 7 years ago, nor did their decision to come to or not come to Mizzou have anything to do with that.
7 years ago our Freshman weren't even in middle school lol.
No, the fact our fb team continues to struggle is Mizzou have never been willing to pony up to get a proven coach.
We got lucky with Pinkel who himself was a Mac coach without proven big time football experience. His successful years was a magical and lucky blend of an awesome group of recruits and an Era of super weak defenses in the Big 12, as well as an emerging style of spread offenses that defenses weren't used to covering.
Pinkel was a better than average coach, and we haven't apparently been able to find someone who was at least as decent as him, still has nothing to do with politics of 7 years ago, it's just bad hiring period
