formal training in the laws of thermodynamics. Of course, you are way to simple to understand that distinction.

I was formally trained in physics, I was studied the subject and have a better understanding than most. People often identify their qualifications when discussing a subject in their field. Maybe you and your fry cook collegues don't, normal people do.
