This is a tragedy on a scale greater than thalidomide. A large portion of this generation will be severely damaged by this absurdity.

At least in the case of thalidomide it was an honest mistake, even though it was a very tragic one for many families. In this case it is an instance of a mass psychosis perhaps mixed in with evil intent on the part of some.
