the U.S. off a cliff. The sanctions imposed against Russia have backfired in a remarkably short time. It is too late to ensure ample energy supplies for the population, let alone business and industry. The collective West underestimated Russia's economic power and overestimated their own. A financialized economy is of minimal use, when vital resources are scarce.
