Yes, this was reported at the time. The entire point of advancing armored columns up to and surrounding Kiev in February was to force Zelensky into peace negotiations. The ploy worked, but the Brits and the U.S. told Zelensky to renege on agreements he made with Lavrov in Turkey. They convinced him they would support him only if he continued the war.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
