So it's an apples & oranges comparison.

We saw what Drink is capable of on the recruiting trail, prior to NIL taking off. And he's 8-8 against SEC opponents, despite having Odom's players i.e. less talent & depth than any SEC school except Vandy.

Without NIL, I have no doubt he'd still be landing top 20 classes and would eventually have a breakout season. Now, my hope is that he'll help us ride out the NIL storm until there's reform that helps to level the playing field. Regardless, I think he's the best we're going to get (realistically).
