Collateral damage. Having a good coach instead of a bad one is exponentially more valuable than any one player. Even if he turns out outstanding it can still be a very good result for MU in the macro sense, and he certainly wouldn’t have developed into a much improved offense player under the former staff.
Good luck to him, will be interesting to follow his development. It is too bad he wasn’t able to make much of a meaningful contribution at MU.
