in the country in 2016. Overall, the rate was 20.44 per 100,000 of population. Missouri's rate is 46.21 per 100,000. Wisconsin (Milwaukee, specifically one would guess) was 2nd. Illinois is 4th.

87% of black homicides involved males. 47% of them were killed with handguns and 72% of them were by someone they knew. 77% involved arguments between the victim and another person.
