demands and expectations that you validate their personal beliefs while they work to stifle the presentation of your own. It is either a two way street or it is nothing. Fortunately, the SCOTUS made a strong statement to that effect last week.

And a common culture is forcing nothing. Common culture is what so successfully drew immigrants here for so long. They didn't come here to be Italian, or Japanese, or Russian, etc. They came here to be American and benefit from our culture of hard work, freedom, and opportunity. The melting pot was not about having 37 different cultures. It was about coming here and blending into the highly successful American culture.
