watched thousands and thousands of other stupid people riot, burn, loot and destroy in an effort to get their way politically and socially. They saw govt officials cheer them on. They saw police stand on the sidelines and simply watch. They saw little to no accountability, no prosecutions, no jail time and they saw politicians and local govt officials bend over backwards to accept their demands.

They saw this as their turn to bully their way into gaining submission. The only problem for them is that they are Trump supporters and there are different standards for Trump supporters who riot.
