students to be advocates and clients of change but have fallen short on teaching them to be engaged citizens.
I am willing to bet that a majority of Americans believe that the supreme court is supposed judge based on "the will of the people" and don't realize that they are supposed to answer to the constitution. I'll go one step further and bet a majority of the house members in DC believe the same thing and each of them swore an oath to uphold the constitution.
