I don't have access to the contracts but wouldn't new teams

entering the league open the contracts up for renegotiating by the network partner? Wouldn't said network partner who is rumored to want out of the contract use this as an opportunity to get out (especially seeing the two marquee programs are halfway out the door).

From my, admittedly uninformed, point of view it would make sense for the big xii to hold off on bringing in the new teams so that they don't lose any time on the conference favorable contracts currently in place.
