Perhaps he's trying to offset negative recruiting

This is pure speculation. Recruiting is both positive (what's good and great about Mizzou) and negative (what's bad about the competiting school or schools).

Perhaps Drinkwitz has encountered other schools telling recruits that he's not a good fit at Mizzou, his family not comfortable in Columbia, he hasn't found Mizzou to be as supportive as he expected, etc.

Going public on Twitter simply a tactic to pre-empt to some degree this negative recruiting. Something to the effect "yes, other recruiters are saying that about Mizzou because their programs don't compare to ours and so they have to take cheap shots".

Please explain why this message is being reported.
