agents who get a cut. Those agents are going to shop their players around every year.
It gives the schools a buffer from tampering. The NIL agents talk to those who hand out NIL money, not the coaches directly. The coaches can talk to the NIL money bags and say which players they like.
I have less problem with this than buying high schoolers.
This case is a WR who has NFL aspirations, was not yet eligible for the NFL draft and had lost his QB. If his stats took a major drop due to the new QB it could hurt his draft stock and future earnings.
The NFL lifting their 3 years post high school draft requirement may help reduce situations like this.
