Today's Wall Street Journal's Opinion Page calls attention to an opinion piece by John Cogan and Kevin Warsh, affiliates of Stanford's Hoover Institution.
Cogan, 75, is described as an economist, a veteran of the Regan Budget Office and the author of an encyclopedic book on the history of American entitlement programs.
Warsh, 52, is a veteran of the Bush Administration and former Federal Reserve Boad member during the O'Bama financial crisis.
Both are affiliated with the Hoover Institute and were asked by its Director, Condeleezza Rice to do a paper on what conservatives believe about economic policy.
Today's Wall Street Journal reports on their work in today's Opinion Page.
Unfortunately, the entire paper, about thirty pages, is available only through the Journal's fee sites. However, I believe that one can obtain a PDF copy directly from the Hoover Institutes web site.
If one is interested in politics and Republican thinking about the role and scope of economic policy, reviewing the paper should give one a good feel for basic Republican thinking.
In the meantime, I will see if I can locate a non-fee site that carries the entire paper and allows general access to it.
