The market was due to correct but some have taken the opportunity to have the Russian invasion create chaos. Though it really shouldn't have caused gas prices to escalate like they have because reserves were ample, it did. This inturn has led to price gouging, and the appearance of approaching inflation and recession which cut profits. The Chinese mishandling Covid again, adds to it.
Right now the inexperienced, those on margin and the people who just shouldn't be investing will leave. Tehy will sell low. The market makers will gobble their shares after they've hit their target and life will continue.
