One of the reasons he was elected was a perceived strength on the COVID issue. Should they walk away from this, the issue basically dies. And I don't think the admin fully realizes just how much of the country is fine with the mandate going away. I am flying with people now from the East coast and they say in the airport there 60% of the people still wore masks. It is a very different bubble out that way.
