responsible for 75% of all murders.
i'd have to look up the stats but i think it's something like 90% of murder suspects have prior felony convictions. so outlawing guns for that subset of our population might have a 10% reduction but it might be offset by increased victimizations of law abiding black people in that age range that the offenders would know aren't armed.
what would actually help is to keep violent offenders off the street and locked up instead of handing out parole and probation to them like it was candy.
